You will be asked to describe your symptoms and to perform a number of simple movements. The osteopath will also test the range of movements of various joints to identify any restrictions and their causes.
Treat
Manipulation and mobilisation techniques applied over the course of
a treatment programme
The osteopath will apply a range of massage, stretching and joint mobilisation techniques to relax muscles and increase the freedom of joint movements. These techniques will be applied over a series of treatments as part of a treatment programme.
Maintain
Home exercises to ensure the maintenance of strength, flexibility
and pain free movement
The osteopath will provide you with a number of appropriate home exercises. These exercises will supplement treatment in enhancing flexibility, mobility and strength.
